Jeannette burns for setting up circular systems that save resources in our everyday lives, and that make us rethink our behavior. She has been researching reusable packaging solutions in the food and beverage industry for eight years. Her aim: To make sustainable behavior easy thanks to clever and available offers. Her vision: To banish disposable packaging from our lives. In 2014, she tested the feasibility of a public reusable circulation system. After a successful test phase, she launched the reCIRCLE network in 2016, with almost 300 partner restaurants to date. reCIRCLE now replaces around 20’000 disposable containers per day. Jeannette comes from the hotel and tourism industry, took further training in marketing and event management and completed her master’s degree in environmental technology and – management in 2015. She is convinced that reusable systems could be implemented in many other industries, such as shipping or cosmetics or many more. Reuse with joy and do away with throw away!
